The dates and times are below:

The Artist Project

Monday, April 28 11:00am to 3:00pm

Follow this link for FREE PASSES to all of the shows associated with Artropolis, including The Artist Project.

I will be there the whole time, so please stop by and say hi!

The next show is the following weekend. This year Around the Coyote’s Spring Festival will be part of Looptopia. So head down to the Around the Coyote Riverfront Gallery, located on the riverfront at Wabash and Wacker. I will be showing paintings from the Houses series. The hours for this show are the following:

Around the Coyote
Friday, May 2 5:00pm to midnight
Saturday, May 3 11:00am to 10:00pm
Sunday, May 4 11:00am to 6:00pm

Come on by and enjoy the art and all of the other events associated with Chicago’s Looptopia event.

If you cannot make either show, or just have not had enough of my paintings, don’t forget I always have work up at Zella Brown, 1444 N. Milwaukee.

Great news!  I am currently the featured artist at Zella Brown, 1444 North Milwaukee, Chicago.  Several paintings from the American Still Life series as well as a couple of paintings from the Houses series are on display.  If you get a chance stop in and check it out.

I know it is a little far off, but I just can’t wait to share the news.  I have been selected as The Artist’s Magazine’s Artist of the Month for October 2008.  The article will feature an image from the American Still Life series as well as a write up about me.  I am very excited to have such a strong response to this very new body of work.

Welcome!

Welcome!

The website is finally finished and I promise you it has been worth the wait. I want to start by welcoming everyone to the site. My work has changed quite a bit in the last year and a half, so for those of you who have not been to a show in a while there is a lot of new and exciting work. Some of you many have seen the House series at some of my more recent shows, but the American Still-Life series has yet to be shown publicly, so with exception to a few close friends, this is the first time any of these pieces have been seen. Be sure to it check out and let me know what you think.

As always, I have paintings up around the neighborhood. Currently I am showing work from the House series at Zella Brown, a home decorating boutique in Wicker Park, 1444 N. Milwaukee, Chicago.

The Around the Coyote Fall Arts Festival is here and as always I will be showing. The festival is October 12th through October 14th (Friday 6pm-10pm, Saturday & Sunday 11am-6pm). You can find me and my work in the Wicker Park Fieldhouse, 1425 N. Damen, Chicago. As part of the festival, I will also have a few paintings at the Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division. Check www.aroundthecoyote.org for more information and I hope to see you there.

I would love to hear from you so please email me with any questions or comments, email@pamelamichellejohnson.com. If you would like to be added to my email list for notification of future shows and events, just let me know. Otherwise be sure to check the website news section for regular updates.

Very importantly, I would like to thank Maya Bruck for all of her time and energy in putting this site together. She had many great ideas and suggestion. The site looks amazing and it is all thanks to her. Also I would like to thank Jaime O’Connor for all her help with the written portions of the site, she is better at putting into words what I am more capable of saying with paint.

Thanks for checking out the website. I will be posting new work regularly so be sure to check back soon.
